QIB first to offer facial recognition tech

Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has introduced facial recognition capabilities, Face ID, in its iOS and Android Mobile App, making it the first bank in Qatar to allow the facial recognition technology feature on all smartphone devices. Using the biometric authentication option, QIB customers can login to their mobile banking app to manage their accounts, make payments and transfers, have full control on their cards, request a cheque book and open a new fixed deposit account, among other banking transactions.
